Our story does not begin with a product.
It begins with a feeling.
With three words that changed us:
Aloha. Mahalo. ʻOhana.
Three terms that are more than words.
They stand for an attitude. A way of life. The things that truly matter.
Aloha — love, openness and a true heart.
Mahalo — gratitude for the small things.
ʻOhana — closeness, warmth and the feeling of belonging.
When we first felt this spirit on our honeymoon in Hawaii, we knew:
We wanted to take this feeling with us.
Into our everyday lives.
Into our home.
Into the small moments that so often pass too quickly.
And that is exactly how Malohana came to be.
A name that did not exist before —
formed from Mahalo, Aloha and ʻOhana.
Today, it stands for what we want to share:
moments of calm, warmth and connection.
Our scented candles and wax melts are more than simply a beautiful fragrance.
They are small anchors in everyday life.
A moment to breathe.
A feeling of home.
A conscious pause in an often too-fast world.

Who Is Behind Malohana
We are Sabine and Thorsten — a small family business from Potsdam.
At our candle studio in Potsdam, we hand-pour, carefully check and pack our scented candles and wax melts with great attention to detail.
With a lot of heart, a lot of attention to detail
and our four-legged team member Chester, who is always somewhere nearby.
Malohana is not a mass-produced product.
It is our passion project.
And perhaps it will become a small part of your home too.
